Core Sampler Skills
Setting up the Bobbins
The first in my Core Sampler Skills series, this tutorial shows how to set up your bobbins at a point, ready to work a cloth stitch border with a footside.
The technique is used in my Sampler Tutorials but is also useful in other areas of bobbin lacemaking.
Adding Pairs
The second in my Core Sampler Skills series, this tutorial shows how to add pairs of bobbins while working a cloth stitch border with a footside, on both sides of the diamond.
The technique is used in my Sampler Tutorials but is also useful in other areas of bobbin lacemaking.
Working the Corner
The third in my Core Sampler Skills series, this tutorial shows how to work the two corners of the diamond in a cloth stitch border with a footside, starting on the left-hand side and then working the right.
The technique is used in my Sampler Tutorials but is also useful in other areas of bobbin lacemaking.
Once the corners have been worked, the next stage is to complete the diamond with your chosen filling before moving on to Tutorial 4 — Removing Pairs.

Removing Pairs
The fourth in my Core Sampler Skills series, this tutorial shows how to remove pairs from the diamond once the chosen filling has been completed, starting on the right-hand side and then working the left.
